The results of the Brazil - EU cooperation project on animal welfare and good practices under the Sector Dialogues Support Facility will be presented during a seminar on Friday (28). The event, which will be held in the Ministry of Agriculture, will discuss alternative poultry housing systems, traceability, labeling and the rational use of antimicrobials in dairy farming.
Details about their international cooperation, which includes a technical mission to Spain and Denmark, will also be addressed. This cooperation aims to promotes, among other things, the exchange of experience and information in the field of antimicrobials. In addition, it includes meetings with government bodies, the private sector and visits in field to pig and poultry farms to identify strategies for adopting good practices.
Last September 2018, the project on gas stunning of pigs, carried out in partnership with Embrapa Swine and Poultry, was presented in an event held in the city of Concórdia (SC).
Participation in the current seminar does not require prior registration and entrance is free.
The seminar will be held in the Olacyr de Moraes auditorium, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the main building of the Ministry of Agriculture.
