What do you do when the cashier gives you the wrong change? Do you respect priority seats and priority parking for people with disabilities, the elderly, or pregnant women? These and other questions about ethics and democracy are part of the Young Citizen Game, a game set in Progress City, where residents are constantly reflecting on ethical and civic relationships, in order to make it a great place to live. If you want to play, just go to: https://concursos-h.cgu.gov.br/video/edicao/1008/pagina-inicial
After signing up, the player chooses a character to represent him/her in the game, and experiences virtual situations probably encountered at some point in real life. Next, the player's mission is to make coherent decisions and help spread a new culture of ethics, good citizenship and education everywhere they go.
Then, the players who have managed to answer all the questions from the previous phase correctly can send a 1-minute video (1 minute of good citizenship) produced by them. The best videos will be presented with an award and posted on the Office's website and social media. The idea is to make the players important advocates in their community.
The Young Citizen Game, in partnership with the European Union-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility, aims to encourage adolescents and young people to reflect upon and behave in an ethical and civic manner. Moreover, it helps players develop a critical awareness of the development of their community, and of how they influence the well-being of others.
