During five days, at the International Workshop on Transfer Pricing in Brasília, public servants from the Federal Revenue and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had the opportunity to learn more about the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) standards regarding Transfer Pricing and compare them with the Brazilian legislation. They were also discussed the advantages and disadvantages and the differences and similarities of each approach.

The Brazilian legislation on Transfer Pricing is recent (1996) and simplified, according to Flávio Araújo, International Relations general coordinator of the Federal Revenue.

The International Workshop on Transfer Pricing began on Monday (8), in Brasilia. Organized by the Sector Dialogues Support Initiative, the objective is to improve Brazilian officials' understanding of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) standards and to show the Brazilian approach to Transfer Pricing to the organization's representatives and member states of the European Union (EU).
