This initiative aims to facilitate collaboration in science and technology between European and Brazilian partners, by identifying barriers on the management of intellectual property and suggesting ways to overcome them. The specific objectives of this action include the identification of how the management of intellectual property has been addressed in scientific research in Brazil and the European Union. The aim is also to suggest best practices for the management of intellectual property in the context of cooperation between Brazilian and European partners. The expected results of this initiative include a report showing how the management of intellectual property has been dealt with in scientific research in Brazil and the European Union, considering issues such as ownership and benefit sharing of intellectual property arising from the projects. The action also provides for the drafting of a document with suggestions for the management of intellectual property in the context of cooperation between Brazilian and European partners, including cases where the projects developed benefited both partners. On the European side, the study will be conducted by the Joint Research Centre.
