Interactions between individuals and organisations, whether public or private, are becoming increasingly digital. Information and communication technologies (ICTs) are not enough to improve specific government procedures and/or services. A digital ecosystem that streamlines and facilitates interactions between the State and other stakeholders is needed. Public policies should be designed as digital solutions.
The purpose of this project is to exchange experiences between Brazil and European Union countries in the best practices related to centralised digital platforms for access to public services, with a view to enhancing them and making them more user-friendly, responsive and interactive.
Planned activities include a joint study by a senior European expert and a senior Brazilian expert to improve three components of the Digital Civic Action Platform, namely a centralised portal to access digital public services, data governance and interoperability strategy, and transparency and access to information goals.
The various technical missions to Europe will focus on social participation and the potential exchange of technical information on open government data; exchange of management strategies and technical information on spatial data infrastructure; exchange of knowledge on collaborative experiences in the management of social public services; and exchange of experiences in ICT governance in the public sector.
One of the expected results is the establishment of ongoing cooperation and communication with partners in the EU to exchange knowledge and experiences in Digital Government matters.
