Brazil is working to reshape its Insurance against Occupational Accidents (SAT), in order to avoid an imbalance between insurance revenues and the payment of benefits in the case of accidents and special retirement. The Italian system of funding for insurance against accidents at work is considered a model in the European Union. Therefore, Brazil is interested in learning about the Italian experience as it seeks input for furthering reflection on the SAT. This action provides for a technical mission of Brazilian experts to the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work in Italy (Istituto Nazionale per l'Assicurazione contro gli Infortuni sul Lavoro e le Malattie Professionali - INAIL). Its goal is to learn about the model of funding insurance against accidents at work, the payment of accident benefits and vocational rehabilitation services. The visit to INAIL will be preceded by a survey of the Italian legislation on the topic.
