From September 13th to 26th, Vilnius, Rome and Lisbon will host a mission promoted by Brazil and the European Union to tackle domestic violence against women. The goal is to exchange knowledge, experiences and the most effective practices in coping with domestic violence and gender-based crimes.

The European Union Delegation to Brazil (DELBRA) and the National Council of Public Prosecution (CNMP) have pledged their best efforts to address domestic violence, for the progress of humanity. The act took place this afternoon (15), at the headquarters of the CNMP, during the signature of the Joint Statement between Brazil and the European Union.

On Tuesday (15), the European Union Delegation to Brazil (DELBRA) and the National Council of Public Prosecution (CNMP) will sign a Joint Statement to tackle domestic violence against women. The event will take place at 2:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the CNMP, with the participation of the Head of the EU Delegation to Brazil, João Cravinho, the CNMP President and Attorney-General of the Republic, Rodrigo Janot, and the CNMP counselor and idealizer of the project, Valter Shuenquener, among other authorities.

One of the main results of the event "A New Era of Blue Enlightenment", held last week in Lisbon (Portugal), was to establish an alliance throughout the South Atlantic and implement the Belém Statement on Atlantic Research and Innovation Cooperation. Brazil, the European Union (EU) and South Africa signed a letter of intent setting out the partnership guidelines for research in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It was also defined that Brazil will host the next meeting of this cooperation, scheduled for the beginning of next year in Salvador (BA).

During five days, at the International Workshop on Transfer Pricing in Brasília, public servants from the Federal Revenue and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had the opportunity to learn more about the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) standards regarding Transfer Pricing and compare them with the Brazilian legislation. They were also discussed the advantages and disadvantages and the differences and similarities of each approach.

The International Workshop on Transfer Pricing began on Monday (8), in Brasilia. Organized by the Sector Dialogues Support Initiative, the objective is to improve Brazilian officials' understanding of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) standards and to show the Brazilian approach to Transfer Pricing to the organization's representatives and member states of the European Union (EU).
